The plume lamp

By: PerfectionMakesMeYawn

Earlier this week we brought home a bunch of twigs to decorate for Easter. We put the twigs in vase to be decorated after lunch. While eating we glanced at the twigs and kind of quick decided that we liked them natural, with out feathers and all the stuff we'd planed to hang in them. Well, with a whole lot of feathers in our hands a new idea turned up. The dear vintage lamp on the nightstand that is used without a shade could maybe need a little a make over...
To form a diffuser we twisted the wires attached to the feathers around the lamp, using the same technique when making a garland of flowers. Voila the result is kind of cute, isn't it!

How to rock a yardstick!

Great idea for us how love to pin everything we see.
Throw away your needles and get a yardstick instead!

PPP-Pot

Photo: via.
Oh, isn't it a certain feeling of pleasure waking up in your own bed after spending some time abroad? Having a cup of coffee in your favorite mug, going through the mail and maybe looking after you green darlings that probably are the ones that been missing you (read: water) most of all your friends and family. Speaking of green darlings...we saw this little DIY pot at the blog of Elise. She's like the queen of creativity, we feel performance anxiety when just typing her name. Anxiety or not, the pot is imperfect in an adorable way and we are absolutely in love it. It makes us want to go bananaz in style with the three "P": Paint, Pattern and Playfulness. FUNFUNFUN! We'll see if the outcome is worthy a post or not...don't hope for mush. Wish us and the pots luck!

Speaking of robots as in previous post - aren't these the cutest ones ever seen! Maybe that's a next coming DIY thing...fold a crew of paper bots! Could need a finger-yoga-camp and an huge injection of patience to complete the mission but it's worth a try isn't it?

DIY: Scarf

Photo: Tokyo Faces
That scarf! Will absolutely make one or maybe two each. The fun is that we planned to go through our wardrobes this week. Guess we have a lot of the will-never-wear-again-in-this-shape-garments to rip n' tare! Ah, thank you Tokyo for giving us some remake-inspiration!

Top ranked DIY box

Photo: The Glitter Guide
Trust us when we say that we are head over heels in love with this jewelry box. It's without a doubt ranked within top three in our to do-DIY-list (and it's a quite long list at the moment). Will just need to get our hands on a wooden frame, a piece of net, a nice box and some more jewelry. Easy!

Gift card - A personal photo matching the personality
of the (hopefully) happy receiver

Byebye I-can't-find-the-sticky tape-chaos and enervating-gift-cord-that-won't-curl. We are in wrapping-heaven!

Canscanscans

We got ourselves a new hobby, spending an entire afternoon making these cans-to-be-light-holders-if-the-paint-will-be-so-kind-and-dry-any-time-soon(!!!). A wild guess is that we will make some more of these cutie pies in the future.
Hello, Christmas-gift-of-the-year (sorry family and friends).

Twin seat

Photo: VT Wonen
A perfect DIY project to get in to this weekend. All you need is a bench (easily found?), two windsor chairs (everybody owns one or a few nowadays - if you dont't, ask your nighbour), a drill and a bucket of paint. Voilá!

A new best friend found it's place on top of the bookshelf in the bedroom. Made in less than an hour!
We call that FAST ART.

On the wall

Burt Lancaster

Who wouldn't want to hang some history of film on their wall?
Note to ourselves: search the flee markets for some more historical prints!
